Final Finish for the 2nd Quarter FAL

30 June 2012

My final finish for the 2nd Quarter FAL got done just in time!  I finished my fourth baby quilt using the Little Apples line.  I used a layer cake for this quilt so there is a little fabric leftover.

A while back, I also purchased a fabric bundle of Little Apples and I got it for a great price.  But I'm not in love with this line at the moment.  I have a whole fat quarter bundle and I have no idea what to do with it!  This is a new experience for me.  I can always find something fun to do with any fabric that I have in my stash.  But I'm not feeling this line at the moment.  Have you ever had that experience?  What did you do?  Should I put it away and come back to it later?  I am perplexed!

  2. Very cute! I don't see anything wrong with setting it aside for a while. Often I find that I'll get inspired to use a certain fabric long after I set it aside without any idea how to use it. You just haven't found the right project yet! :)

  3. Nothing wrong with putting it aside, in my opinion! I'm also curious how you store it-- do you keep it all together as a fabric line? I don't know how your fabric is organized, and everyone has their own very particular ways for organizing fabric, but maybe if you broke it up by color or something and mixed it in with the rest of your stash, you'd see it in a new light?

    Cute baby quilt!

  4. Great looking quilt! Definitely keep it. I'm sure one day the perfect project will come along. I saw one person use it to make a stained quilt. =D

  5. You could always give it to me! LOL

Seriously, pack it up, set it aside, someday you will rediscover it and be inspired.

  7. I agree...put it away and maybe it will speak to you later. Or, you could swap it. Maybe someone has something they don't like either and you could trade. Is there a website or a blog for this? There should be!!
